What is Optical Bonding?

Optical bonding is a process used to enhance display clarity and durability by eliminating the air gap between an LCD panel and its cover glass or touchscreen layer. This is achieved by applying a transparent adhesive layer—typically a gel or liquid—that permanently bonds the two surfaces together.

By removing the gap between layers, optical bonding significantly reduces internal reflections and glare, improving screen visibility in bright environments such as outdoor or high-ambient light conditions.
